Sin duda Héctor Font (Villarreal, 15 de Junio de 1984) no olvidará nunca su 19 aniversario, lo celebró sobre el césped del Estadio Olímpico de Montjuic, dando pases, corriendo, chutando…muy cerca del balón y como el soñaba desde pequeño con la camiseta de su equipo, el Villarreal. Ahora este futbolista valenciano pelea para regresar a jugar en Primera con otra camiseta, la del Xerez, sin olvidar el submarino amarillo. Buenas Héctor, desde la distancia, se nota que la afición del Xerez está ilusionada por entrar en ese playoff por el ascenso a Primera División… ¿Hay mucha ilusión por ese objetivo? Sí, lo noto desde que llegué. Es un equipo que el año pasado estaba en Primera, y es de entender que la afición quiera volver. Nosotros intentaremos lograr ese sueño. En los partidos que os restan para el final de temporada os queda enfrentaros a varios favoritos para estar en lo más alto…Granada, Betis, Valladolid, Rayo, Celta… ¿Quién o quienes crees que serán los verdaderos rivales en este final de liga? Ahora parece que se ha abierto más el abanico de equipos, y no descarto a alguno más de esos cinco que comentabas. Por cierto, ¿Qué piensas del nuevo playoff por el ascenso que se estrena esta temporada en segunda? Me parece una buena idea, dará mucha emoción al final de liga, algo que no sucedía a veces en las últimas temporadas. ¿Qué balance haces de lo que llevamos de temporada? De momento contento. Por todo, por la ciudad, el equipo, el vestuario… Ahora me queda pelear y luchar por disponer de más minutos. El año pasado en el Real Valladolid comentaste que fue un año muy duro por el descenso del equipo y lo poco que jugaste ¿Qué aprendiste de esa situación? Qué hay que trabajar más y más cada día. Una experiencia así te sirve para hacerte más fuerte de cara al futuro. Él, a pesar de no ser capitán ahora, ejerce como tal. Es un ejemplo para todos y la afición lo idolatra. Es una genial persona, siempre dispuesto a ayudarte. El otro valenciano es Pablo Redondo (Monteolivete, Valencia), a quién entrevistamos en valefutbol.com cuando jugaba en el Nástic, ¿Cómo está? Bueno, además de Pablo tenemos a Rafa Barber (Ayelo de Malferit), también de la zona de Valencia. Pablo bien, es un gran tipo, uno de los más divertidos del vestuario. Volviendo a ti, creo que comenzaste a los 7 años a jugar al fútbol y tus hermanos también eran muy futboleros… ¿no? Sí, a toda la familia le gusta el futbol. Yo comencé desde muy pequeñito, la verdad es que yo he sido el que más ha despuntado. Luego estuviste en el Cadete del Valencia ¿Coincidiste con algún futbolista que ahora esté en Primera o Segunda? Sí, con varios de ellos y otros que están entre Primera y Segunda. Grandes amigos. No sigo en contacto con ellos directamente a diario, pero sí cada vez que nos enfrentamos en partidos y eso. Y más tarde fuiste al Villarreal donde debutaste en Primera ante el Español un 15 de Junio de 2003 ¿Qué recuerdas de ese día? Todavía me acuerdo de aquel día, para mí fue un sueño poder debutar en la máxima categoría con el equipo de mi ciudad. Fue un sueño realizado. Y escuchaste el “We are the champions” en la Liga de Campeones, creo que es una de las canciones que más te gusta, ¿no? Lástima la derrota del Villarreal ante el Arsenal…pero el submarino sigue y muy bien, ¿Cómo lo ves desde la distancia? Sí, fue una lástima, estuvimos cerca de la gloria. Ahora lo veo genial, un club serio y que está haciendo un gran trabajo de cantera, que es el futuro ahora mismo. Les auguro grandes éxitos. Hemos hablado de tu pasado, pero ¿tu futuro?...creo que estas cedido un año por el Valladolid… De momento no me planteo nada. Estoy muy a gusto en Jerez y quiero acabar mi tiempo aquí de la mejor manera posible. |
